• Prerequisite

  • Basic familiarity with the Simple Estimator. If you are not familiar with Estimator, see link below.
• Format: Participants work on problems using the Estimator. Hands-on interactive format. Participants report out after working on problems. Class size limited.

MIDS Calculator - Introduction

• Goal: Participants will learn how to use the Minimal Impact Design Standards (MIDS) Calculator to estimate runoff volume reduction and pollutant loading with and without best management practices.
• Prerequisite
  • Have the MIDS Calculator downloaded on your computer link to download
• Format: Participants work on problems using the MIDS Calculator. Hands-on interactive format. Participants report out after working on problems. Class size limited.

  • Set up a site
  • Learn how to incorporate best management practices into your site(s)

MIDS Calculator - Intermediate

• Goal: Participants will work on more advanced problems using the Minimal Impact Design Standards (MIDS) Calculator
• Prerequisite
  • Have the MIDS Calculator downloaded on your computer link to download
  • Have taken the Introduction course or be familiar with the learning goals described above for the Introductory training
• Format: Participants work on problems using the MIDS Calculator. Hands-on interactive format. Participants report out after working on problems. Class size limited.
• Learning goals
  • Become familiar with individuals bmps
  • Model a site with multiple bmps
  • Model sites where specific performance goals are difficult to meet
  • Learn ways to incorporate non-standard practices (e.g. street sweeping) or site characteristics (variable emcs) into the calculator

MIDS Calculator updates - Version 4

The Minimal Impact Design Standards (MIDS) Calculator has been updated to Version 4. This one hour webinar will provide a summary of the changes from Version 3 of the calculator.
