Construction stormwater (CSW)

A work order will be executed in July, 2017, to provide information on the following CSW best management practices.

  • Temporary Sediment Traps and Basins
  • Stabilized Earth/Soil Berm, including wood chip berm
  • Buffer Zones
  • Lined Channels
  • Riprap
  • Temporary stream crossing
  • Dewatering, including
    • Chemical Treatment
    • Sediment Filtration

The information will be used to create new pages for these BMPs. For an example of what these pages will contain, link here. We anticipate the work being completed in winter, 2018.

The work order includes development of guidance for winter sediment control and erosion prevention at construction sites.

Pretreatment

A work order will be executed in July, 2017, to provide the following new information on pretreatment.

  • Design criteria and design considerations, construction guidelines, and maintenance recommendations for pretreatment settling practices
  • General information and design, construction, and maintenance guidance for level spreaders
  • Recommendations on sizing criteria for different types of pretreatment practices
  • 5 to 7 case studies summarizing the use of pretreatment practices

We anticipate completing the work in winter, 2018.

Stormwater Program for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4)

This portal page has been redesigned to improve the organization and add information on several new topics. New pages are being added to address each of the Minimum Control Measures. Another section will provide technical guidance and assistance. We anticipate eventually adding case studies and photo galleries similar to the construction stormwater photo galleries. These pages will be constructed and updated throughout 2017.

Green infrastructure for stormwater management

We have created a portal page containing links to pages addressing Green Infrastructure. The pages including the following and will be developed through the summer of 2017.
