Minimum Control Measures of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Permit

The Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) general permit is designed to reduce the amount of sediment and other pollutants entering state waters from stormwater systems. Issuing general permits allows for faster and more efficient permitting compared to issuing individual permits.
