The MPCA is in the process of reissuing the MS4 General Permit. At this time, the MPCA anticipates the MS4 General Permit to be reissued in Fall 2019. Although the current MS4 General Permit expired on July 31, 2018, those covered under the current permit will continue to operate under it until the MPCA reissues the new permit. The new permit is subject to the [https://www.epa.gov/npdes/npdes-stormwater-final-ms4-general-permit-remand-rule NPDES Stormwater Final MS4 General Permit Remand Rule], which emphasizes permit requirements to be “clear, specific, and measurable.”
