Low Salt Design Icons

The Low Salt Design guidance developed by Bolton and Menk, Inc. includes several icons that are used to highlight design consideration for winter performance.

Blue Icons are used to indicate areas where Low Salt Design concepts are integrated into the project.

Red Icons are used to indicate winter problem areas in design.  As design considerations and requirements are many, it is not always possible to address concerns.

These icons are used in this manual on the pages describing individual Low Salt Design strategies. Downloadable versions provided by Bolton and Menk can be used by designers during the review process to indicate areas of concern for winter performance or design elements that address these concerns.
